Welcome to our Blog! We are a Year 5 class in South Australia and we are learning to blog (create a web log) to communicate to our family and friends. We would like to share what is happening in Room 19. We will continue to build on our skills, and to inform you about our class events. TERM ONE OVERVIEW
This was the handout given at Acquaintance Night. Thank you for the good turn out. I hope you found the evening informative and that we can support each other with your child’s learning.
T1 Overview 2012
TERM TWO
Next term I will be taking Long Service Leave for the term. My husband and I are going to Canada and America for a 6 week holiday.( We have never been there before) I am very pleased to announce that Jo Jenkins will be teaching Room 19 for the entire term.
Jo and I have been discussing each student and their learning needs and we are at present working on the programme for Term 2.
You will receive a Term One report which will address the areas we discussed at your child’s interview. Please remember that this is a 10 week assessment and that I wrote these at the end of Term One.
I look forward to sharing my experiences with you when I return.

Maths open morning will be on Thursday 10th of May between 9.00am and 10.00am for all classes. If you would like to join us please drop in!
Week 4
Naplan will be this week. Writing and language conventions on Tuesday morning, reading on Wednesday morning and numeracy on Thursday morning.
